So… We Actually Made It a Whole Year

When Pris and I hit record on Thanksgiving 2024, we had no clue what we were doing. Like… zero. I even said it on the show: “When we first started this podcast, we didn’t know what the hell we were doing, and I still say that to this day.” And that’s the beauty of it. We started Beyond Monogamy as two regular people who wanted to share what real-life non-monogamy looks like — messy, funny, sexy, imperfect, and 100% human.

Fast forward to now: we’ve built a community, shared our stories, and learned more about each other (and ourselves) than we ever imagined. What started as a “let’s see what happens” side project turned into something that has changed our marriage, our social lives, and honestly, our purpose.

From Hobby to “Holy Sh*t, People Are Listening”

We both laughed on this episode about how shocked we were to realize people were actually listening. I said: “I didn’t think anybody was going to find us interesting… and that’s what surprised me most — how much it’s taken off.”

Pris jumped in with her usual fire and humor — reminding me that she’s the one who never lets me quit. And she’s right. This show became something much bigger than us. It’s not just a podcast; it’s a conversation, a connection point, and a community that keeps showing up for each other.

What This Year Taught Us

Between all the laughter and tequila-fueled confessions, we learned a few important things:

  • Communication saves everything. As Pris put it: “It’s empowered me. I feel more heard. I can just talk and be myself.” That’s what keeps us going — in our marriage, and in this space.
  • The lifestyle is what you make it. You can be kinky, poly, swinger, whatever — the only rule that matters is respect.
  • Confidence changes everything. I told Pris during the episode, “Confident 2025 Adam started in January… I faked it till I made it, and it worked.” Turns out, confidence really is contagious.

We also learned that you can’t please everyone — and you shouldn’t try. Some folks will love your transparency, others might not get it. Either way, we’ll keep being us — raw, funny, awkward, and real AF.

The Funniest Sh*t That Happened

We couldn’t do an anniversary episode without laughing about the moments that made us crack up. Like the time Pris completely lost her train of thought because a gorgeous woman walked into the store during a live recording. I swear I’ve never seen her so distracted mid-sentence. Total gold.

Or when she confessed her “wedding weekend of sluttiness.” Let’s just say it’s one of those stories that’ll live in Beyond Monogamy history forever. She told it like a champ — raw, hilarious, and perfectly Pris.

Our Listeners Made This Possible

We’ve had people message us saying things like, “You helped me figure out how to talk to my partner,” or “Your advice about social anxiety at clubs literally changed how we show up.” And that right there? That’s the whole reason we do this.

We’re just two people sitting behind mics, but when you hit play, it becomes our story too. So if you’re one of those listeners who’s ever sent us a DM, stopped us at a club, or shared our show with a friend — thank you. You’re the reason we’ve made it to year one… and why year two is going to be wild.

What’s Coming in 2026

Buckle up. 2026 is going to be bigger, deeper, and wilder. We’ve got more live recordings, more collaborations, more travel, and yes — more juicy stories. We’ll be hitting major national events (including Krazy Winter Nights Jan 30–Feb 1 with our friends from FullSwapRadio.com) and we’ll be bringing you behind the scenes every step of the way.

And don’t forget our upcoming Beyond Monogamy Meet & Greet at Club Eden in San Antonio — it’s going to be part connection, part comedy, part sexy chaos. You can RSVP and see all the details at www.beyond-monogamy.com.

Help Us Keep Growing!

Here’s the deal — we can’t keep growing without you. So if you love what we do, here’s how to help us hit our next milestone:

  • Leave a review wherever you listen. Reviews help new people find us — and honestly, they keep us motivated when the editing nights get long and the coffee runs out.
  • Share the show with your friends, your partners, your lifestyle groups — even your vanilla friends who might need a little “Beyond” in their life.
  • Get involved on our website: Visit www.beyond-monogamy.com and click on the Confessional or Voicemail tabs. Tell us your wildest, funniest, or most awkward lifestyle stories. You can stay anonymous — we just want to hear from YOU. Your stories might even end up on a future episode (with your permission, of course!).

Final Thoughts from the Bald Guy

At the end of the show, I said it best: “We wanted people to feel like they were sitting at a table with us, drinking their coffee, having their pan dulce, and just chatting.” That’s what Beyond Monogamy has always been — not just a podcast, but a seat at the table.

So here’s to another year of real talk, sexy adventures, strong coffee, and stronger communication. And hey — don’t just listen… be part of it. Hit that Confessional, drop us a voicemail, and let’s make 2026 the year we go beyond Beyond Monogamy.
