Inside the Port Aransas Lifestyle Takeover: Sand, Sun, and Swinger Shenanigans

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to take over an entire stretch of beach with hundreds of open-minded, sun-kissed, sexy-as-hell lifestyle friends—well, buckle up, babe. Because Adam & Pris just dove headfirst into their very first Port Aransas Beach Takeover, and we’re breaking it all down in our latest QUICKIE episode and this blog post.
Spoiler alert: We came back with windblown hair, bronzed cheeks (yes, those cheeks), and a whole lotta stories.
🌊 So, What Is the Port Aransas Takeover?
Imagine this: mile after mile of Texas coastline transformed into an adults-only paradise. Hundreds of lifestyle couples and singles roll in from all over the state (and beyond) to set up camp, pop tents, blast music, make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and get into some seriously spicy fun under the stars.
The event has grown massively over the years—from a small birthday bash into a full-blown lifestyle pilgrimage. With DJs, play parties, lube wrestling (yes, you read that right), and some of the most welcoming, sex-positive people you’ll ever meet, it’s the kind of experience that makes your vanilla vacation look like a PTA meeting.
🧳 Our First Time (Be Gentle!)
We’d heard about the event last year but missed out—cue the FOMO. So this year, we went all in. As admins for the lifestyle group that hosts the event, we packed our sunscreen, beach gear, and microphones and hit the road Thursday night, rolling into Port Aransas like two caffeinated toddlers at Chuck E. Cheese.
After a quick check-in and a missed meet & greet (classic us), we crashed hard… and woke up early Friday for breakfast tacos and coffee in Corpus. That’s right: nothing says “let’s swing into the weekend” like greasy carbs and a hot bean brew.
🏕️ The Setup: Canopies, Chaos & Community
By 7:30am, we were hauling gear to mile marker 31—aka the unofficial “sexy south end” of the beach—and trying to figure out our brand-new canopy. Pro tip: Don’t wait until you’re on the sand to open the box.
Luckily, the lifestyle community is all about lending a hand (and maybe checking out your booty while doing so). With a little help—and a little flirting—we were up and shaded in no time.
Wind? Absolutely brutal. Sand? In places we didn’t know we had. But despite the weather, spirits were high, sunburns were plentiful, and everyone had each other's backs (and fronts, and sides...).
🎧 Raves, Wrestling & Real Connections
From daytime DJ sets to late-night rave parties under blacklights, the vibe was electric. Friday and Saturday were stacked with events—like the Mer-Sea “Under the Sea” theme night, vendor tents, dad bod contests (yes, Adam should have won), and the now-legendary lube wrestling matches.
But beyond the glitter and games, the real magic was in the moments—meeting couples from across Texas who listened to our podcast, swapped stories, shared drinks, and reminded us why this community is so damn special.
There were no strangers—just sexy friends we hadn’t met yet.
📿 Tech Meets Titties: Spreading the Word
We wore our Tap bracelets throughout the weekend, letting curious folks tap our wrists to instantly access our podcast, social media, and even share contact info. It’s lifestyle networking in the digital age, baby. No fumbling for phones. No “wait, how do you spell that?” Just one sexy wrist bump and boom—you’re connected.
🧴 Sunscreen Scandals & Married People Problems
Of course, no trip is complete without a little passive-aggressive roasting, and Adam wasted no time blaming Pris for his spotty sunscreen job. She insists her spray bottle was broken. He insists she just wanted him burnt and shirtless. Verdict: We’re calling it a draw.
We love hard. We fight soft. And we make up under an umbrella with White Claws and compliments. That’s married swinger life.
❤️ Why This Community Rocks
What really stood out—aside from all the abs and cleavage—was the sense of genuine care. People looked out for each other. Shared meds, snacks, shade, and stories. When someone felt off, strangers turned into support systems. There were donation jars for flood relief and bracelets sold to help fund the event. It wasn’t just a party—it was a movement built on love, trust, and good vibes.
🚨 Final Thoughts (and Plans for Next Year)
Saturday ended with a beach rave and Sunday was all about slow goodbyes, helping friends pack, and lounging in a Corpus hotel pool. Our hearts were full, our skin slightly crispy, and our phones packed with new contacts and even more ideas for next year’s Beyond Monogamy tent.
So, if you missed it this time, don’t worry—we’re just getting started.
