Killer Pussy: The Night a Lifestyle Club Visit Ended in an Ambulance

A Beyond Monogamy Quickie | Hosted by Adam & Pris

We need to have a little talk.

Every now and then, a night in the lifestyle goes so spectacularly off-script that you have no choice but to sit down, record a podcast about it, and let the entire ENM internet process it with you. This is one of those nights. Welcome to the Quickie that nobody planned but everybody needed.

Buckle up. Because this one ends in an ambulance.

It Started as a Normal Night (They Always Do)

Adam and Pris headed to the club — as one does — for what was supposed to be a perfectly enjoyable lifestyle club night. Birthday party energy, good friends, familiar faces, a few new ones. The vibe was right. The cubbies were open. Everyone was living their best life.

There was even a little cross-cubby situation happening — Pris and a good friend of theirs heading into one, Adam and said friend's wife heading across the way — curtains open, watching each other, very hot, very lifestyle, very much what you're here for. Adam got a brief glimpse of Pris's show before getting preoccupied with, well, his own.

Fifteen minutes for Adam. Considerably longer for Pris (she puts in the work, folks). Everyone eventually wraps up, takes a break, freshens up, reconvenes at the couch.

Normal night. Great night, even.

And then someone came up to Pris and said: "He passed out."

Wait. What?

Not just passed out once. Twice. The man had passed out twice, hit the back of his head, and was currently sitting near the bar looking like he'd seen the face of God — pale, unresponsive, being fanned by a small group of very concerned swingers while birthday music blasted in the background.

The DJ — bless them — got on the mic and called out the man's wife by name. She, naturally, assumed she was being called up for something fun. A dance. A birthday toast. Something festive.

It was not festive.

She found Pris at the corner. And that's when she asked the question that will live forever in the Beyond Monogamy archives:

"Did you kill my husband?"

Pris, to her credit, did not know how to answer that. Because she genuinely was not sure what had happened. She just knew she had put in some serious effort, it had been very hot in that particular cubby, and now there was an ambulance on its way to a lifestyle club in San Antonio.

You really can't make this stuff up. And honestly? Why would you want to. This is better.

For The Record: It Was Not Pris

The culprit, as best as anyone could piece together? A devastating combination of:

  • Donating blood earlier that day (a detail no one had thought to ask about before getting horizontal)
  • Drinking at the club (not heavily, but enough)
  • A very warm cubby on a very active night
  • Blood pressure doing whatever blood pressure decides to do when you've given a pint of yourself to science and then immediately decided to have a grand time

He's okay, by the way. Totally fine. They ran tests. He went home. He's more embarrassed than anything, which — fair. He is a man who does not like to be the center of attention. He ended the night as the absolute center of attention. The universe has a sense of humor.

He also gave Adam and Pris permission to tell this story on the show. His wife's note on the matter: "Yeah, go ahead and tell everybody how your pussy just knocks people out."

So here we are.

The Conversation That Happened in the Van on the Way Home

Adam, being Adam, waited approximately forty-five seconds after they got to the car before asking Pris the question that had been sitting in his brain all night:

"If he dies... are you going to feel responsible for this?"

Pris's response was essentially a slow blink and a very long pause. Because yes. Obviously yes. They put in the work. They were there. And while intellectually she knew she hadn't done anything wrong, that question — what if it had happened while we were still in there? — is the kind of thing that just sits with you on a late-night drive home from San Antonio.

But here's what makes this episode more than just a wild story: Adam and Pris didn't just laugh it off (though they did laugh, once they knew their friend was okay). They actually talked about it. Seriously. The kinds of things that happen in this lifestyle that nobody talks about — medical emergencies, underlying health conditions, the physical reality of sex when you're in your 40s and 50s and beyond, what it means to actually look out for each other in these spaces.

The Real Talk: Lifestyle Safety Nobody Puts in the Brochure

Here's the thing about the lifestyle that the glossy hotel-takeover ads don't mention: sex is a workout. Your heart rate goes up. Your blood pressure goes up. You're probably in a warm room. You might be drinking. You might be exhausted. You might have — hypothetically — donated blood earlier that day like some kind of absolute wildcard.

And most people in this space are in their 40s, 50s, or older. That's not shade. That's just the demographic. And with that comes the reality that some folks have high blood pressure, or diabetes, or asthma, or a puffer that should really stay in arm's reach at all times.

Adam and Pris's advice, born from genuine experience on this particular evening:

  • Hydrate. Water. Before, during, between drinks. Put a cup of water in your cubby. Seriously.
  • Eat something. You cannot run on vibes and a White Claw.
  • Know your limits. And know when the room is too hot. Walk away mid-stroke if you have to. It's allowed.
  • Know your play partners. If you're friends with the people you play with, you should know if they have conditions that matter. Nobody's asking for a full physical, but "hey, anything I should know?" is a reasonable conversation.
  • Don't give blood on the same day you go to the club. This should not need to be said. And yet.

One silver lining? There are approximately one million nurses in the swinging community. You cannot throw a rock in a lifestyle club without hitting a registered nurse. This is statistically supported and practically very reassuring.

Club Eden: A Shoutout Well Earned

Pris wants to be clear: Club Eden in San Antonio handled this situation impeccably. Staff moved fast, kept things calm, pushed back the rubberneckers (there are always rubberneckers), got the man water, fanned him, tracked down his wife, and had EMS in and out efficiently. The community showed up too — concerned, attentive, and looking out for one of their own.

That's the lifestyle at its best. And yes, Adam and Pris will be back at Club Eden on June 20th. With water. And possibly a defibrillator.

The Takeaway

Wild nights make the best stories. But the best storytellers are the ones who made it home safe. Look out for each other out there. Know your body. Know your limits. Hydrate like your good time depends on it — because it literally does.

And if you've had a night that went sideways in a way that your vanilla friends simply cannot handle, you know where to find us.
