The Kinky Bros: Two Brothers Bond Over Rubber, Leather & Kink

Every once in a while, Adam and Pris meet a couple of guests who make them feel like amateurs in their own lifestyle. This week, that couple happened to be brothers — and no, that headline isn't a typo.

Meet Gryff and Jason, the real-life siblings behind the Kinky Bros Podcast. Gryff is the older, gay brother who's been deep in Houston's rubber and leather scene for years. Jason is the younger, straight brother who discovered his love of jockstraps and thongs from, of all things, a mystery-pack underwear order he couldn't even remember placing. Individually, each of them had a whole secret kinky life running in parallel. Together, for years, they had absolutely no idea.

The Netflix Show That Blew Up Two Closets at Once

Here's the part that had Adam cackling: the brothers found out about each other's kinks because of a British home renovation show. Yes, really. Gryff and his husband were watching Netflix's How to Build a Sex Room, and Gryff texted Jason for shock value, expecting to scandalize him. Instead, Jason texted back something like, "oh, we watch that too," and within a couple of hours the brothers had traded pictures, confessions, and enough details to thoroughly mortify both of their partners in the next room. A Netflix renovation show. Two brothers. One kink-shaped can of worms, cracked wide open.

Rubber, Leather, and the Great Underwear Awakening

Gryff walked us through his rubber and latex kink — the stealth-wearing-it-under-your-clothes-at-Target kind of dedication — and confirmed, definitively, that no, rubber is not breathable, and yes, you absolutely will smell like a balloon in a Texas summer. Worth it, apparently. Meanwhile Jason described discovering jockstraps and thongs through an actual mystery pack he ordered on a whim from a client's underwear brand, not even knowing what was inside. He liked it so much it kickstarted a whole health glow-up: better diet, gym time, and a level of confidence he says came directly from a piece of fabric. We are not going to argue with results.

And yes, before you ask: Pris tried to talk Adam into letting her buy him a pair. Adam is still "all thigh, baby." We'll see how long that lasts.

Coming Out (Twice) and Raising Sex-Positive Kids

Beyond the kink talk, this episode had some genuinely touching moments. Both Adam and Pris, and Gryff and his husband, talked candidly about coming out to their kids — once as non-monogamous, and in Pris's case, also as bisexual. Gryff's family is blended, with kids who are now teens and young adults who've simply grown up knowing their parents' relationship looks a little different, and it's a normal part of their household rather than some big scandal behind closed doors. It's a great reminder that "the talk" doesn't have to be one horrifying conversation — it can just be honesty, delivered age-appropriately, over time.

Houston's Kink Scene, Vac Cubes, and a Crash Course in CBT

Gryff gave us a tour of Houston's surprisingly thriving queer kink community — weekly dinners, monthly parties, demo nights at bars like Ripcord, and a friend group that basically adopted Jason as an honorary member after his first, slightly awkward introduction (Gryff's crew wasn't sure what to do with a straight guy, and Jason wasn't sure what to expect from them either). Cue the story of Jason's first vac cube experience: a rubber cube hooked up to a vacuum that sucks the air out and suspends you inside it while people gently poke, touch, and generally mess with you. Jason called it "a big bear hug." We also got a very frank, very educational breakdown of CBT (cock and ball torture, not the therapy kind) — which, according to Gryff, is a legitimately trained skill set, not just chaos with a paddle.

Pegging, Compersion, and Why Swingers Aren't Always as Open as They Think

One of the most interesting threads of the whole conversation: Jason's love of pegging, and how the swinging community can be surprisingly judgmental about anal play for men — something Gryff and Jason both pointed out has nothing to do with sexuality and everything to do with an underappreciated erogenous zone. The group also got real about compersion — Jason has plenty of it, watching his girlfriend enjoy her own experiences, while Pris, famously, does not, and has zero shame admitting she's "a very jealous woman" who'd rather not hear the details. Turns out there's no one right way to do any of this, as long as you're honest about what you need.
